"DADA NIAO" means "house of cats" in the language spoken by a little human when he was about two years old. Today he is six, together with his sister (and all the other little people who pass through this DADA) he is an endless source of ideas, inventions, songs, stories, games, and wonder.

At DADA NIAO, children's ideas come to life: films are made, books are written, animated cartoons are created, treehouses are built, flowers are grown, fruit is gathered, painting, sewing, music, singing, dancing, cooking, storytelling and theatre all happen naturally. We build with our own hands whatever is needed, we take things apart, and we recycle everything.

Things get messy everywhere—everywhere indeed—but everything is put back in its place before bedtime.

DADA NIAO is more than just a physical space: it is a container, a great cauldron where the unique and unrepeatable stories of those who have lived them come together, blend, and transform into endless new forms through the magic of meeting, sharing, and collaboration.

All the stories created at DADA NIAO are inspired by real events: improvised bedtime tales told in that magical space between sleep and wakefulness, dreams, fantasies, anecdotes, and the wandering thoughts of the little people who gather there. They are first scribbled onto loose sheets of paper, the backs of old notebooks, or the blank pages at the end of books, sometimes carefully stored away in memory, only to be stitched back together and lovingly illustrated later, in search of the thread that gives them meaning and makes them worth sharing.

DADA NIAO is here to remind every child that EVERYTHING IS POSSIBLE (<<except for naughty things>>  as someone would say...)

A reminder for all the grown-ups who take care of you.
